On Saturday, November 16th we will be meeting at Majestic Park to test three types of 10 meter antennas (Vertical, Horizontal Dipole, and Inverted V). We want to see which antenna performs the best to various locations. We will start setting up the antennas after the park opens at 7:00 am PST and do the tests at 9:00 am on 28.420 MHz SSB. Some of us will be staying home during the 9:00 tests to give reports. We will stay at the park after the tests for a while operating our outdoor stations and having face to face QSO's. If you are staying home during the tests to give reports, come join us at the park after the tests are complete.
Majestic Park is on the city's Northwest side, not far from Lone Mountain and 215. The exact address is: 3997 N Hualapai Way, Las Vegas, NV 89129. We will be located in the large gazebo on the northeast side of the park, distanced from nearby softball fields. Enter the park's main entrance and turn left. There is lots of parking.
The site offers plenty of room for antennas, good elevation and an exceptional line of sight to the East/Northeast.
