June 6, 2026(2 events) 6:00 am: Las Vegas Monthly HAM Swap Meet – On the first Saturday of every month, the local "HAMS" gather at the parking lot of the PETERSON CENTER 6455 Dean Martin Drive. The swap meet is a non-sponsored event. It is held rain or shine and on holidays. There is no charge to set up and sell at this gathering. Selling begins at sunrise and typically runs 2-3 hours, depending on the amount of items and buyers present. We’ll be on the Northwest Corner of Lee Canyon Road and Champion Road on Friday, June 26t and Saturday, June 27th.
The site is easy to get to and easy to find.
Our place is directly across Lee Canyon Road from Sawmill Trailhead where a dirt road, Champion Road, goes off to the left. You’ll see an LVRAC sign.
That’s where we’ll be, near the corner of Lee Canyon Road and Champion Road.
The call in frequency for the event is 146.580.
A group of us will be camping at the site so there’s no “start time.” (As you read this email, some of us are up there right now.)
Our club’s Field Day 2026 site provides a perfect chance for you to get out of the heat. We’ll have pop-up canopies to provide shade and there’s plenty of parking on a paved lot at the Sawmill Trailhead on the other side of Lee Canyon Road. There are also bathrooms at the Sawmill Trailhead.
We’ll have radios for you to operate if you wish and club members more than happy to answer any questions you have about projects you’re working or amateur radio topics.
Friday will be full of club events.
That’s what we have cooked up Friday, and then, on Saturday, we’ll be taking part in Field Day 2026. The formal event starts at 11:00 AM and ends Sunday, June 28 at 1:59 PM.
So if the prospect of getting out of the heat seems appealing…
