Ham TV and how you can receive it

When the Space Shuttle is on a mission, Pressing Touchtone function one (#1) on the "QST machine" will buy 60 minutes of audio on 146.730 Mhz. Between 7PM and 9PM it will also bring up the 434 Mhz Ham TV Transmitter with Shuttle Video!

Simplified instruction on how to receive "HAM" TV with a cable ready TV or VCR.

It just so happens that 434 Mhz is the frequency where Local Hams transmit live "REAL TIME" television. This is the same type of TV signals that your normal Broadcasting stations transmit. The only difference is that it's lower than channel 14.

It's also nice to know that on a CABLE ready TV or VCR, if you place your UNIT into the "CATV" mode then go to Channel 59, that Channel 59 is real close to the 434 MHZ frequency you want to be on to receive "Ham TV".

One last thing! You need to understand that to get "HAM TV" on 434 MHZ, you need to do the following:
